Kyra Minturn

 KyraMinturn, born 19th August 1965, is an American actor. Her most prominent character is that of Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season the show was canceled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her role as Madeline Wuntch on Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV who was a venture capitalist. She was born in New York City. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has said that she participates at Passover seders.
